Cover photos are the prime real estate of Facebook Business Pages. If you look at any law firm’s Facebook Business Page, your eyes will immediately be drawn to the page’s cover photo.
A professional cover photo is a great way to create brand awareness, build reputation, and promote your firm across the world’s largest social network.
On the flip side, a poorly designed cover photo immediately cheapens your firm’s brand, and potential clients will be less likely to contact you. Despite your best social media marketing efforts, your firm might as well not be on Facebook.
The good news is that you don’t need to be a seasoned graphic designer to create a branded, professional cover photo for your firm. Programs such as Canva offer templates, customized branding (including fonts), and much more. There’s no excuse of having a poorly designed cover photo.
I was inspired to write this post after looking at approximately 200 law firm Facebook Business Pages this afternoon. I’m working on a new design for a client and wanted some inspiration. Sadly, most law firms aren’t up to par when it comes to cover photos. Some firms used images of famous paintings without any text or branding. Other firms used generic city stock photos. I even saw different firms using the same stock photo for their cover photos. I wasn’t too impressed.
Instead of focusing on the negative, I decided to share a few of my favourite Facebook Cover photos (and videos).
