Facebook Live’s New Interactive Features

Did you know Facebook users are four times more likely to watch live shows than recorded video content?

Despite these statistics, most lawyers are shying away from live broadcasts (except for Mitch Jackson – he’s killing it!). Get ahead of the competition by creating an interesting live show people actually want to watch!

New Facebook Live Features

Facebook recently upgraded their live streaming platform making it easier to produce shows and keep audiences engaged. These updates include:

  • A sleek new user-friendly interface that is much more user-friendly. Multiple people can work on the same show at the same time from their own devices as well.
  • A dynamic new comment-moderation system that gives you more control over what’s being discussed during your show. Previously, anyone on Facebook could watch and comment on live shows. Now you have the option of only allowing comments from people who have liked your page for a specific amount of time.
  • You can create high-quality live shows from your iPhone or Android now as well. This is great for news hacking shows when you want to be the first to broadcast.
  • New editing features including the ability to easily create clips from your live shows. This is great for re-purposing content. You can use these clips in social media posts as well.

Producing a high-quality live show can seem like a daunting and costly task, but it’s not. All it takes is consistency, interesting content and getting comfortable in front of a camera.
